PITCH READY BIOMECH

You capture the data. We turn it into clinical insight.

Processing, benchmarking and expert interpretation for clinics and institutions already capturing 3D motion data in-house.

OVERVIEW

An overview of Pitch Ready BioMech

Lower-limb injuries account for the majority of time-loss in team sport, with direct consequences for athlete availability, performance and revenue. BioMech helps clinics and institutions move beyond one-size-fits-all protocols by turning captured 3D motion data into individualised clinical insight.

What Pitch Ready BioMech does

BioMech is built for clinics and institutions that already capture their own motion data. You run the testing in your facility; we turn it into clinical insight.

1

Capture

Your team collects 3D kinematic and capacity data on your existing Vicon system, using standardised protocols, marker templates and Nexus pipelines.

2

Process

Raw data is uploaded to the Pitch Ready platform. Our engine processes it and builds a complete athlete report, benchmarked against 364+ normative metrics.

3

Implement

Our clinical staff record an interpretation for each athlete and return it within 72 hours — with clear recommendations your clinicians can apply.

What gets measured

A full lower-limb battery combining capacity, strength and gold-standard 3D kinematics during sport-specific movement.

Speed / Acceleration — 3D kinematics
Change of Direction — unanticipated cutting, 3D
Clinical Baselines — ROM & clinical scores
Hamstring Strength
Calf Strength
Hip / Groin Strength
Vertical Power — stationary jump
Quadriceps Strength — single-leg squat, 3D
Horizontal Power — single-leg hop
Reactive Horizontal Power — cross hop, 3D
Reactive Vertical Power — drop jump, 3D
Automated reporting — per athlete, on submission
IN-HOUSE 3D CAPTURE

Built for your existing capture environment.

You run the testing in your facility. Pitch Ready turns the raw data into processed reports, benchmarks and clinical recommendations.

WHY PITCH READY

What sets Pitch Ready apart

Pitch Ready combines sport-specific 3D testing, automated reporting, expert clinical interpretation and a large normative dataset to help clinicians make better injury-prevention and return-to-sport decisions.

Speed & automation

Reports are generated on submission, removing the analysis bottleneck that can turn biomechanical reporting into a week-by-week manual task.

Expert interpretation

Every submission is reviewed by Pitch Ready clinical staff, with recorded findings and recommendations your team can act on.

Predictive prevention

Kinematic assessment helps identify currently healthy athletes with elevated lower-limb risk, enabling earlier intervention.

Smarter benchmarking

Pitch Ready moves beyond simple left-leg versus right-leg comparison, using group-based norms and historical data from injured and healthy populations.

Volume & mobility

Motion capture paired with rapid processing allows large athlete groups to be screened efficiently without bottlenecking the clinic.

Validated by real data

Pitch Ready’s models are built on roughly 1,500 tests across professional codes, giving the platform a stronger evidence base than small-sample assessment models.

Injuries we screen for

Pitch Ready’s assessment of feed-forward biomechanics highlights risks common in the majority of lower-limb injuries.

OUTCOMES & RESEARCH

Proven in return-to-sport

Pitch Ready has provided ACL recovery benchmarking for more than 1,500 athletes across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the UK and the USA. Its return-to-sport model is grounded in kinematic features linked with elevated ACL re-injury risk.

23%

Under-25 re-injury benchmark

Published re-injury rate for athletes under 25.

17.4%

Outside normal range

Re-injury rate for athletes who tested outside the Pitch Ready normal range.

0.86%

Within normal range

Re-injury rate for athletes who tested within the Pitch Ready normal range.

Case study — 2019 NRL pre-season screen

35 professional rugby league athletes were screened with Pitch Ready before the season. Risk ratings were delivered to the club, while detailed analysis and rehab recommendations were withheld to preserve a true control group.

SCOPE OF ENGAGEMENT

A working partnership

You already have the capability to capture motion data in-house. BioMech focuses on Pitch Ready’s core value-add: advanced processing, automated reporting, benchmarking and expert clinical interpretation.

Scope & assurance

Biomechanists provide objective data, but return-to-sport clearance sits with treating clinicians. Pitch Ready BioMech helps bridge that gap by providing clinical interpretation under Pitch Ready’s own scope of practice and indemnity insurance.

Pitch Ready provides

Platform access for data submission and athlete reports.
Unlimited RTS testing processing and report generation throughout the term.
72-hour clinical read with recorded interpretation and recommendations for each testing instance.
Testing apparel supplied as part of the agreement.
Marker clusters, templates and Nexus pipelines required for athlete data capture.

You provide

Quality data capture using your own facility, equipment and consumables.
Raw data upload to the Pitch Ready platform after each testing session.
The athlete relationship, including how BioMech insight is applied within your clinical pathway.
BIOMECH PARTNERSHIP

In short

You own the capture environment and athlete relationship. Pitch Ready supplies the templates, processing engine, clinical reads and reporting that turn each session into a decision your clinicians can act on.
